SUFFOLK HOUSE

A major alterations and additions to a family home in Suffolk Park. The design was conceived to maximise the unique opportunities that the site presented with the main living space opening up to the national park at the rear and a private sun drenched swimming pool and terrace to the north wrapped around an existing mature tuckeroo tree.

A new addition to the existing structure was positioned to the rear of the site and contains new bedrooms, office and family snug. Above this, a master suite has been carefully planned to provide a private and quiet retreat enjoying natural ventilation from the coastal breeze and uninterrupted views across the national park.

The material palette was deliberately selected to be raw and low maintenance with rich and natural tones and surfaces creating a robust, practical and warm family beach house fitting of the landscape and the original dwelling.
