OVERVIEW

Best Time Ever is an oversized staircase/sundial that was inserted into Splendour in the Grass 2010, and remains permanently installed on the site at Woodfordia. One of the largest sundials in the world, it was a collaborative project with artist Lauren Brincat, while participating in the inaugural SPLENDID Arts Lab of 2009. Steel was chosen for strength and durability, and was combined with recycled hardwood timber stair treads. The staircase is 27m long, rises over 15m from the ground and points due solar north – a giant festival clock. With thanks to Splendour in the Grass, Lismore Regional Gallery and the Australia Council.
