OVERVIEW

Tent of Miracles is a monumental relocatable performance venue conceived by performance artist and curator Andy Forbes for his interactive art installations at Splendour in the Grass Festival. Measuring 15m wide, 30m long, and over 7m high, it is formed by one metre wide tubes of air. It was designed in collaboration between DFJ and Andy, and custom made by a bouncy-castle manufacturer. Steel trusses and anchors are concealed within the wall fabric to tie the structure to the ground and resist wind loads. The tent had to be strong enough to stand up to the wild winter weather during each festival, as well as tens of thousands of revellers, while remaining standing for the three day period without power.
