Muli Muli is a contemporary take on the Australian beach shack - a modest, low-maintenance, year-round holiday home, conceived with flexibility and durability at its heart.
Its warm, intimate and low-lit space was conceived to differentiate it from its beachside setting, exuding a more urban atmosphere befitting of its laneway location.
Woodfired, rustic sharing food, cooked in the spectacle of owner/chef Francisco’s Argentine open grills, sets the tone for Barrio’s elegantly low-key space.
Its limited budget, exposed position and role as navigational landmark dictated a strong, brutalist monolith, requiring as little maintenance as possible.
